Collaborative vision and a commitment to pushing saw this wild addition to a 60s bungalow in North Perth come about. Possibly got a little too close with these clients and should have tried to keep hold of a little more mystique but its not every day where you meet a couple of heroes like these. No ideas were bad ideas in themselves (even the really crap ones) while working with these two. We wanted to build something that was exiting, surprising, fun & flexible - a house that made the most of its position perched up on a hill with cracking views of the city and provided long term joy to the little family within. Places to entertain, to be private, to relax and to work all came together in this house adorned with beautiful cabinet work and furniture made by the owners. As with all the houses I have done, I tried to make the most of low tech climate control methods to provide a comfortable and functional building.
